Horrible Company! The Painted Pretzel

I placed an order with this company in November. It has been very frustrating trying to get hold of them. When I placed the order, I received confirmation but no other communication has been received. Ive sent 4 e-mails on different dates, and they all were returned stating the e-mail account did not exist. Because there has been no reply from the painted pretzel, Im just going to write them off. Ive already spent more time on this that the thirty dollars I spent. I would not recommend company!

Our law firm spent several thousand dollars on client gifts from The Painted Pretzel this holiday season. Over a month later, we are finding that 1.) many of the recipients never received them 2.) several were returned due to faulty addresses (their fault) 3.) none of the deliveries that were successful made it before Christmas (they were promised to arrive by 12/22/17) 4.) the pretzels that did arrive were broken/the containers damaged and 5.) the items that I ordered were not the items sent (they grossly under-filled the containers). I have attempted to call and email and have found that all of their social media sites are down. Please do not make the same mistake we did. We're currently in the process of getting our money refunded through our credit card company.

Never Received What I Paid For

I ordered $100 worth of pretzels from The Painted Pretzel on December 10, 2017. They were supposed to arrive before Christmas and yet, almost two months later I have not received my order and I never received any shipping notification. I attempted to contact them and forwarded my PayPal receipt. I emailed them once at the beginning of January, and once in the middle. I sent my email to all three addresses listed on their website and one address could not be reached, it got bounced back to me three times. I have tried calling and get a recorded message. It was a mistake to do business with them. I am angry and disappointed to say the least.

Worst Shark Tank product

I’ve ordered from them over 2 months ago and I have yet to receive my order. I placed numerous calls and emails and never get anything returned. No one is ever there to answer the phone and they will not return any voice messages left. They took my money the same day I placed the order and I still haven’t received it. I don’t know how I’m going to get my money back. Do NOT order from them! Horrible customer service. I’ve never had any bad experience with Shark Tank products that I’ve ordered in the past until this one. Very disappointing. I’m sure Mark Cuban is very ashamed and regretting his investment in them.

Ordered from Painted Pretzel on 9/7. As of 9/20 no delivery, no response to emails or voicemails. They sure took our money though. Who knows if we'll ever see this delivered. Their website is horrible and it doesn't list the city they are in so I was worried due to west coast/east coast I could be missing them. But after 4 weeks I realize they just don't give a hoot to provide service, a tracking number or any info about the order. If I could cancel this order of mine I sure would! They have not responded to our voicemails or our emails. How do you think you will succeed like this? DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM. Seriously concerned that they have such a poor website and presence on the web and Mark Cuban invested in them. I would have thought this would have helped them. Run, do not walk, away from this company

I ordered decorated pretzels from their website on December 19, 2016, and knew they may not arrive in time for Christmas. Which was fine. Needless to say, I have yet to receive my order!! I've sent numerous emails to their customer service, and no response at all!! UNACCEPTABLE !!! I've called their toll free number 3 times, only to have to leave a message with an 'answering service' that has taken my info & told me he would send them the message & they would call me back. Well, you guessed it, still nothing!!! I'm surprised they're still in business! If people ask me, I will tell them 'DO NOT ORDER' from The Painted Pretzel!

10! Plus it took me a month to get the order to even place since the website kept saying out of stock. When you emil, you get an automated message asking for your address. When you respond, you get the automated message again!

I am having the exact same experience as the previous 2 posts! I placed a Groupon order for the pretzel party starter on December 21.

I, too, have emailed and called, but no one ever calls back. THEY STILL HAVE NOT SHIPPED.

This is my worst customer service experience EVER! I will be contacting Groupon also!

I am having the exact same experience as the previous poster! I ordered my pretzels on December 12, with a note that I would like them delivered by Jan 23.

THEY STILL HAVE NOT SHIPPED. I, too, have called and left messages, but no one ever calls back.

They wasted no time debiting my card back in December though! I will NEVER do business with them again and will make sure no on else I knows messes with ordering from them either!

I used a Groupon in mid February and they sent a confirmation email. I also used PayPal to pay for the remainder of my order. It's April and I have not received anything. I tried to contact them several times and they don't answer their phone or emails. Avoid this company! They take your money and you get nothing but headaches in return. They should be out of business. Terrible!

Second chance

I think you should give them a second chance i know new business there are some mistakes & un for seen problems that can occur, she should offer the product for free with all the problems youve endured. Im sure shes try her best to get things straightened out But If your not satisfied email Mark Cuban or twitter him as he owns some of this company now If you get no where we make them as we make wonderful Gourmet as well at Confectioners Corner facebook coming soon.. we offer Homemade fudge with only the best ingrediants. Assorted Candies sich as the hand dipped pretzels along with hand dipped carmel apples seasonal apples that is. Our orders arent processed until we receive them. But as a small business I do hope the painted preztel has resolved your problems

Was going to old an order. However, after reading all the negative reviews I will be purchasing from another retailer.

The shipping charge of 8.99 is outrageous as well. Too bad she could have had a growing business.

I wish there was some way that the "shark" who's in business w/ this company knew how awful they are, in every way possible. My experience was the same bad 1 that others have had. No delivery of order & no way to contact them by phone or email. Obviously they have no regard for customer service or satisfaction. I'll never know if the product is good or not. They took my money, didn't provide a receipt or send the item I ordered. U will never speak to anyone who can help u, no matter when u call. I'd love to tell them what I think, but they obviously don't care.

I made multiple gift orders for the holidays. After several email exchanges (only about 1/4 of which were actually responded to by anyone from the Painted Pretzel) not only did they miss deadlines, but they lost all the mailing addresses, did not even realize they had orders unfulfilled, and no one EVER answers their calls or returns calls (they use an answering service that cannot help whatsoever). What kind of business only works from 10am to 5pm M-F??? Their product is decent - nothing special - but you try and support a smaller business and quickly realize that due to their complete and total lack of interest in actually retaining customers, it is impossible to continue to be a customer. And of course they "promise" to process refunds, but you'll likely have to dispute the charges w/you credit card company because there is no way anyone from their company will bother to take the initiative, especially since they can't even be bothered to respond to customer emails or phone calls. Don't buy from them - no matter how good a "special" they are offering. You'll be disappointed, and the likelihood of the items actually arriving is less than 25%.

NO COMMUNICATION from company explaining why pretzels were NOT delivered. NO THANK YOU or expression of ANY interest in your purchase or future business.

NO automatic refund or option of refund offered on behalf of this "company" after missed deadlines....all around an un-reputable company...DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS "COMPANY" NO MATTER HOW APPEALING THE DISCOUNT...YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AND WILL PROBABLY NOT RECEIVE YOUR ITEM!!!!!! Painted Pretzel? No thanks, with their lack of customer service, I can and will make my own.

I am not the complainer but I had nothing but bad experiences with them. I placed an order online for shipment to my daughter's college campus. They got my money right away from PayPal, but I got nothing. I got no confirmation email, I tried calling the number at all hours with no response, and no response to three emails I sent. I contacted PayPal and got my money back. Time went by. Two years later I thought that perhaps my initial response was a fluke, and that I would give them another chance. Placed my inline order, paid for it, time went on, delivery date came and went. No response to my repeated attempts to contact them, and again (and thank goodness) I had my funds refunded to my credit card when I called my card holder about the issue. So , no, we will NOT be ordering from them...ever. I have spread the word the best I can as well.

No attempt at trying to destroy the reputation of a small business here...in fact, I prefer to support small business and make as many purchases as I can through them. You are one of the fortunate ones with a good experience with this company and it is good to know that there are indeed a handful of satisfied customers out there.

Unfortunately, my experience has been HORRENDOUS and not only did I NOT receive ANY of the items I ordered, waited WEEKS for and PAID for, my e-mails went un-answered, I was not offered a refund, and just feel ripped off. There is no excuse for this and Groupon should NO LONGER have an arrangement with a company that does NOT keep up their end of the bargain.

Are these real reviews or just an attempt at sabotage? I placed several orders from this company and all was fine.

I see this sort of thing on Yelp and report it all the time, people leaving malicious reviews and 1 star either falsely or for silly reasons. Really sad that people like that exist.

One was just fine. The others were spectacular cluster%¥€s.

It's sad because the product is great, it's just the lack of communication that drives me crazy. Tell me it's back ordered, I don't care, but don't sit on my money for ages with no response to phone calls, email messages and Facebook comments.

I buy pretzels from here all of the time. This is what my sister always wants for Christmas. We pretty much love them. I just bought a basket the other day and found this sight by accident. I was going to post something on Yelp about them. I'm shocked to see a bad review. They are really great. This year I purchased 4 gifts and every one loved it. I found out about them because my boss bought them for our office two years ago. He always buys a new gift every year and he saw these on Shark Tank. I think the complainer just had a bad experience. I do know that they get extremely busy during the holidays and they seem to be on tv a lot.

There are others who have written complaints such as myself that appear to not have experienced a mere isolated "bad experience" with this company during understandably busy times of the year...we were, worse, left feeling ripped off and mislead by a company that ignores repeated e-mails, does not return phone calls in a timely fashion or offer a paying customer any logical reason as to why products are not received or guarantee when their product can be expected. It is absolutely ridiculous that they mention their appearance on Shark Tank in their promotional advertising then use re-runs of their appearance on Shark Tank as an excuse for not filling their orders on time if at all.

Unless things have changed, this company does not appear to have BBB accreditation and the BBB site shows a grade of F for this company. This was a very disappointing and eye-opening experience and I would advise extreme caution if you are thinking of making a purchase or buying a discounted coupon through Groupon to purchase their products.

I ordered from the paintedpretzel.com on October 29, 2014 after seeing it on the shark tank TV show; the lady presenting the product seemed to be trustworthy and honest. I never received the product and on December 2, 2014 without any notice I received a Paypal refund with a note stating they were backlogged. In the meantime they collected my money immediately and kept it for over a month, no contact, no updates, no emails nothing. On November 22, 2014 I received an email from the post office saying they had received electronic notification from thepaintedpretzel.com of an impending shipment. Nothing happened after that notice. That's not how to run a business and treat a paying customer. Will never buy anything from this company again. Eventually issued a refund after over a month of no contact and no explanation. If you order from this company be prepared to pay them right away and maybe you'll get your order, or maybe not. In the meantime you have given them an interest free loan. They keep your money and decide to return it when they see fit.
